#44. Get a Pedicure

I took monday off work in hopes of having an extra day to recover from a long week/weekend.
And, after running many errands, i convinced mom we should get a pedicure.

this also serves as pic for 6.23.09. LAME!

Also, for father's day/judy's birthday on sunday, after canoing down the river (which i was sad to see wasn't on my 101 list) we
#84. went to a new restaurant for me, the Curragh (?).

it's a rainy day, it's a rainy day

yesterday, it rained.
more accurately, it poured.
streets flooded.
and while most people ran for cover, after some coaxing, i just RAN.
and so item number 94. Run in the rain is now checked off the list!
it felt awesome. being in the rain, when intentional, is a totally different ballgame. you TRY to get as wet as you can.

and this will have to count as my photo for the day as well since i have failed since sunday to take photos. alright, really i only missed monday.

27. Learn how to use the sewing machine
I went over to Judy's art studio on Sunday and she taught me (again) how to use the sewing machine.
We went over loading the bobbin, threading the machine and sewing two pieces of scraps together.
This time I took notes! And Judy drew me pictures.
Now....to figure out what I want to attempt to sew (crookedly).

so. two of the awesome things about having a list of things to do is that:
a. people want in on it
b. when you randomly get invited to events that just so happened to be on your list, you get even MORE excited.

Liz organized a Brew and View night and it was awesome.
Movies playing:
I Love you Man, which i'd seen before in the theater and loved enough to sit through all it's awkwardness.
Observe and Report, which i'd never seen and none of us had enough patience or butt stamina to sit through last night.

However, as if it were meant to be, when i went on their website to check the timing, I found a two for one coupon! So, Judy and I BOTH got in for a mere $5. Perfection.

#12 buy a new piece of clothing every week:

so, last night, chelsea was nice enough to invite me along to a clothing swap.
on the plus, i met a bunch of awesome women who i got to spend time with drinking wine, eating lil snacks, and looking at peoples old treasures.
of course, i got incredibly overwhelmed and had to stop after about 10 minutes.
however, in that time, i got two items.
and because chelsea was the one who provided the wine for the event, i felt in order to be able to count this as a purchase, i needed to somehow pay her (she also brought all the clothes, no more thursday purchases from her excess). so, i waited for an incredibly long time at starbucks this am and paid her off in the form of an iced grande soy caramel machiatto.

i totally lost track of may
suddenly, i showed up to work today and it's june 1st.
so not only was that an issue because i didn't have any of my reports ready for june 1st billing (should have been done on friday!) BUT i also failed to:

Buy/get a new CD in June

I am so mad at myself that i'm going to buy a new CD TODAY! to make up for it and ensure i don't fuck it up again.

on the plus side, i finished reading "The Chosen" this weekend.
Soooooo good.
I didn't know it was a classic, but was assured by a few that it IS.
